Class Policies: 

Participants must be registered and paid in full at time of registration. You may register online or in person at store.

Class fees are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled. There is a minimal requirement of 4 participants per course.

If the minimal requirement is not met 72 hrs (3 days) prior to course starting; you will receive a call that class has been postponed. At that time you can reschedule your course or receive a full refund for tuition.

If you must cancel a class you will receive a store credit to be used towards a future class within 30 days.

Class supplies and kits are not included in the class fee, unless specified in course description. Class kits and supplies are available for purchase. Guest are not allowed to sit in on a class. Students must arrive on time.

Fondant Covering the Cake
1 Days -  3 hr  session

In this class you will learn to cover a cake properly in fondant.  You will cover a round cake with fondant. We will discuss how to repair tears, how to marbleize fondant and how to flavor fondant. Students will need 2 cakes 8" x 2" on proper cake board. Cake must have a dam and be filled with frosting or filling. Please level your cakes correctly, and lightly trimmed around sides. Cake needs to be a firm cake or pound cake. Do not frost cakes. Bring your crusting buttercream to frost cake in class. 

 

Class will provide mat and roller and fondant tools for class usage,

* Student needs to bring 1 lb of crusting buttercream along with their cake as described above and 2 lb of high quality fondant.

Fondant tools and Satin Ice fondant are available for purchase at our shop.

Prerequisite knowledge of covering a cake with buttercream.

Fondant 101 - Beginners Cousre
5 Days - 2 /12 hr each session

This is an advance fondant class where you will learn several techniques in decorating with Fondant. You will learn ruffle borders, embossing techniques, basic bow, and create a fondant bouquet made of roses, rose buds, drop flowers and  leaves. You will need to complete your bouquet for your final project. You will be introduced to stenciling on fondant with edible lustre dust and royal icing. 

Finally you will learn to cover a cake in fondant and use your bouquet and skills to decorate your cake.

Final day student will bring 2 - 8" x 2" cake, dammed with frosting filling for height, and properly leveled. Cake must be at least 4 1/2 " in height on proper cake board. 

Supplies are additional for this class.

You will need 2 lb of high quality fondant and gumpaste. For final day we will provided  a large fondant roller and mat for class usage.
